Welcome to Sony Tropfest 2008! The world's largest short film festival celebrates its 16th year with the lucky number ‘8’! We once again ask filmmakers of all backgrounds and levels of experience to get out there and start shooting a short film for the festival. The films can be about anything but must include the annual Tropfest Signature Item (TSI), which this year is ‘8’.

Over 150,000 people will come together on Sunday 17th February 2008 to view 16 finalist films, selected from more than 700 entries at venues in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra and Hobart as well as a selection of regional venues across Australia.
